On a fine
day in May 2002, an enthusiastic bunch of preschoolers attended an architectural
workshop organised by Tay Kheng Soon. The active kids learnt about geodesic dome
structures and built their Dream Dome!
Empowerment of the participant was a critical concept which resulted in the elimination of the engineered joints commonly found in geodesic dome construction. Joints are held together with much readily available materials. In this illustration, plastic wrapping is used.
