The AEROBUS system could be studied as a new form of transport system in Singapore.

The AEROBUS system is a combination of creative, proven and practical engineering based on cable technology which has evolved over a long period of time for transporting people and goods and which have established an impressive safety record.

The AEROBUS, a patented system developed by AEROBUS ENGINEERING LTD of Switzerland in the early 70's, can meet practically any requirement in medium range capacities of urban and inter-urban transportation. It can be built to any desired length and to include any number of intermediate stations. Lines can follow contours of present streets, avenues and boulevards. They can pass under or over trees or over and through buildings. They can also span rivers, canals and valleys.

The suspended stressed aerial track is the key to the AEROBUS patent. The weight of the vehicles passing over it force the track into a perfectly horizontal position thereby allowing smooth trestle passage and high speeds.

VEVEY ENGINEERING WORKS of Switzerland, as an experienced manufacturer of equipment for people movers such as railway coaches and tramcars in both steel and light alloy was very well qualified to sign an agreement with the inventor of the AEROBUS system for jointly marketing, manufacturing and developing the system.
